What is the use of technology if it can’t make things better. And by “things” I am also including the environment. There are some interesting developments which I think is worth mentioning such as aircraft completes first solar-powered night flight.

But being solar-powered wasn’t the only fact that caught my eye. The fact that it flew slightly over 26 hours powered only by the sun’s energy is to what I believe is an achievement. At present, I believe that there is an airline that is dedicating one aircraft to run on bio-fuel on their international long-haul route, and the A380 as well as the 787 Dreamliner claims to consume lesser fuel per passenger.

Being someone who has been guilty of raking up the air miles, it does make feel good that something is being done about the future of air travel, even if I don’t know how far out in the future it will be.

While riding on the subway the other night, I was sending a text message to a friend through my Nokia E63. When I was done, I looked around and noticed that I was surrounded by Apples. Not the edible kind, but the multi-purpose gizmo thingy that was supposed to be a phone.

Don’t get me wrong, I have always liked the iPhone but I’ll stick around with my Nokia since it is still working fine. I also carry a second cellphone as the office line. It is re-routed to my *gasp* Android HTC Hero. I felt a little out of place for a moment there. I am not sure what the official numbers are but it sure seems like iPhone is the most popular phone around in this island. Feel free to comment on this.

And the reverse seems to be the case in China? Or so it seems according to this Forbes article. “Android Has Already Passed The iPhone In China

I was running through some emails just a moment ago and saw that “Twitter catches cyber criminals and Google foots the bill” (seriously). And I am sure my best buddy will approve me sharing his other passion when he is in a non-geek mode … National Ice-Cream Day. čÖé

I grinned when I read that “Five flavours frozen out at Baskin Robbins“. Well, what do you know? I guess I’m still a kid sometimes. Have a good weekend everyone.

Now, lets start from the very beginning. I am not sure how many of you actually remembered the first time you use the internet. I can vaguely remember it myself. But I did remember being introduced to me by my Dutch friend who was travelling to this part of the world, and he wanted to send an email. I thought it was somekind of a special┬á postcard but then he can only do at a cybercaf├ę. I was baffled but soon figured out how this email thing works without a postage stamp. Very cool!

Anyways, here is clip down memory lane.

Hello World! Welcome to my first blog post.

Well, not exactly. As some readers may notice, this is not my first time blogging. I was blogging on my company’s website quite sometime back before it was revamped. The silly thing is, I have forgotten to back it up before clearing the server and so, it was history.

So here I am again, this time on WordPress talking about business & tech stuff. Talking about tech stuff, could someone let me know if Google Analytics works with WordPress? See… I’m not so geeky after all.
